I had to replace my burrs after about 14 to 16 months. I had been unable to dial things in and was adjusting the grind lower and lower with little change wasting alot of coffee before ordering new burrs.

Something interesting occurred a couple of days ago. I was reading a guide on grinding coffee with the Rocky, and it said something that never quite registered until now. I always though that when adjusting the grind, the grinder should NOT be running. The instructions stated the opposite. So, on a lark, I decided to try to see if I could get a finer grind while adjusting it this way. The end result is that I now CAN get a finer grind, and, as far as I can tell, as long as there is coffee in the grinder, the burrs do not sound as though they are touching. I'm not sure though if this is how it's supposed to work.
