If burrs are available then most other rebuild issues can be surmounted. But if you can't get burrs then you are - technically speaking - UTCWAP (up the creek without a paddle).
Mazzer's website lists all the models for which they have discontinued burrs and has a separate list for the current models that they still supply burrs for. Not to say that all of these burrs are available in the US market anyway but there may be some you can obtain in Europe that are not available here.
Thanks for that Owen! On second inspection, the outside diameter is about 63mm, the inside about 37, and the thickness about 9mm. Maybe it is Italian tolerances, or perhaps the ones in there now are non OEM, but they sure sound a lot like the Super Jolly burrs to me! There is certainly room within the burr carrier to accommodate an extra mil or two, so, provided the holes line up, we should be away laughing :-)

There also seem to be a lot of people referring to these machines as Brevettos, due to a label that they had on them. Brevetto actually means patent in Italian and the label presumably refers to Mazzer's patented stepless adjustment mechanism.
