Espresso: Quickmill Anita Grinder: La Cimbali Max Hybrid
Posted Mon May 12, 2008, 12:17pm Subject: Re: Raised My Price Mazzer Mini E or Cimbali Max Hybrid Espresso Grinder
I would go with the Max, unless you hate dosers. From the reviews I've read, the Max produces a better grind and does not clump, so there's no need for the WDT treatment. If you check out the "Can it Beat the Robur" thread on home-barista, the Max scored very well against even the most expensive, giant commercial conical grinders. The Mini-E is a good grinder, but I don't think it's in the same league.
For what it's worth, I just pre-ordered a Max myself. They're out of stock at Chris' right now, but should be back in stock soon. Of course, the prices may be going up since the dollar has been tanking against the Euro.
