Is anyone useing theses grinders? Also under Eureka label too. And also what is the difference in the MDM vs MDMCA? There is some info here on these grinders but alittle old. The worm gear for the grind setting is oppsite of most grinders. The worm gear moves and MOTOR side of the blade. What do you guys(and gals) know?? Thanks

Bry So you use your MCF for drip? What are the pros, and cons of this grinder? How long have you had it? Can you tell me what your routine is? I might have a deal on a new one. Right now I will use it for non expresso grinding(drip ,FP). What I want is a grinder I will not out grow (or braek) in a few years. I could go out and get a new MC4 and be done with it,but looking around and learning about all the grinder out there is fun. I'm also wondering why there are not more of these grinders out there. MCF and the MDM both look like nice grinders. Thanks 5 cup

It's actually currently not in use at my house, but I used it for about a year (received it used) as a decaf grinder at a shop that I worked at. I have never dialed out the grinder for anything other than espresso, but perhaps I could. I received a Bunn grinder (one of the large bulk ones) from the same shop upon closing so I generally use that instead because it is so easy to adjust.
The MCF is a workhorse though. I do wish the burr size was larger and burr speed slower. But never-the-less this is a great grinder if you need a very small one. I haven't seen a stepless grinder with a smaller footprint, and don't know of any (although I suppose there could be a couple).
Nuova Simonelli makes great machines and grinders and I'm also surprised that they don't get more recognition for their work, although it does seem that their popularity is growing. While the grinder was still in use (and I do plan to use it again when I finally get an espresso machine at my home) it worked great, and never had a problem.
Anything else you would like to know?

Well I bought both the MDM and theMDF. I'm useing the MDM.I took the doser off and just grinding into a big gulp cup with a square hole cut in it. I have looked at all the doserless mod here and will be playing around with some different things.I have an idea for a top hindged spout.(To make it easy to clean.) I don't know why this grinder has not caught on here in the U.S. I will start another thread to let you guys and gals know what I'm up to. I'm useing it for drip and I swear my coffe tastes better. Thats all for now.
