Lovely grinder Ed!  I really like those wood domed ones.

The white area is a paint finish, not porcelain - very nice, clean look to it!  The adjustment knob is inside (you take out the drawer, and reach up inisde to turn it).

I just picked up my first hand grinder from orphan espresso.  It was the Burg Cherry Castle grinder.  I wanted a decent grinder without having to break the bank...and the hand grinders just look amazing to me.  I was using just a capresso infinity and the first couple of pulls with the new grinder and I can tell a pretty big difference.  Can't wait to get a chance to get more acquainted with it and really play around with it.  Where is the adjustment on it though if you happen upon this post Barb?

Congrads on getting your grinder!!!, I believe if you pull out the drawer and look up inside you'll see a lever. Turn clockwise for finer and counterclockwise for courser.

Just finished refurbishing another grinder. A Peter Dienes, Pe De, pre-war model, Solida 638. Bakelite Drawer.

another option is a wall mount grinder. This is an older Pe De  Peter Dienes from Germany.
