Anyone has a mod to reduce the amount of ground beans in the machine's horizontal holding area between the burr grinder and the black plastic chute? I've got a M4D doserless.

what a great tip! made my life much easier.

What I ended up doing is leaving one screw in so there is no need to mess with springs.

Looks like it does.:D  I just bought the parts to mod as well.  Chris Coffee rocks!  The worm drive cost me $30. Everywhere else in Canada and the U.S that I could see wanted $70 just for the drive.  This is much needed for my MX.  I use it to grind the occasional 1 lb bag for a customer and I've hit the point where the sweet spot is in between 2 steps.. I've gone back to using my Skerton for espresso which is fine, they are both great grinders but it's a bit funny watching a $60 hand grinder made for drip out grind a $1,000 espresso grinder..
