hi i discovered something which i hope is useful to some of you...a cat food can plastic cover for "fancy feast' sized cat food cans ( found at petco and maybe petsmart) is a perfect and snug fit on the top of a mazzer mini machine when coffee dispenser is removed they come in several colors including clear whic is what i chose

Another option, an old alt.com idea is to make use of an unused 58mm tamper. I don't use the bean hopper. Just load the dose + a bit more into the throat, place the unused tamper (reduces popcorn effect) and grind.
