Subject: What is this and do i want it?
 

A buddy of mine is selling a bunch or antiques and some junk. Can you help me figure out which this thing is? He says it is a coffee grinder but IDK. Might make a cool decoration etc.

Yes I put the BDB and CC1 in the same class, yes i have a reason for leaving SCG off my list, yes it is my opinion, yes it is subjective as opinions are by definition, no don't start a flame war because you disagree.

It is a grinder but it will not grind for espresso, they were pretty common 100 years ago when people roasted their own coffee in their home. Some mount to a wall, others have "c" clamps built in to clamp to a table etc. They are fun to mess with but even for drip etc, the results may not be great.
