See how you get erratic streams pissing out the side, you do not want that you want oozing honey effect, like dripping chocolate. That spurting can be caused by unclean basket, clean the basket right out, make sure there is not olf coffee grinds blocking the wholes. It was a bit fast, a finer grind will fix that. Consider your grinder, I use a rocky rancillio.

I must update myself here! Since I posted that I always use a naked PF, I have changed machines. The new machine does not have a bottomless PF so I have been using the single (I always brew for one person so why split the shots?) PF and my same, double basket. I have been very impressed with the results in the cup and I did not see any real drop in crema production. Since I was forced to go COLD TURKEY on the PF, I have found that I do not miss it. It was only habit that I continued to use it. I find myself wanting to duck down an look at the basket but manage to stop myself as there is nothing to look at anyway!
It was a very good tool to get proper shot prep but after you get better, it is only a toy to look at, a very fun toy to watch but not required for great shots LOL!

Because it is naked, you can see that you have made a bad or good espresso. You can confirm that if it won’t be pretty right away. But you can’t correct it at this step. Thus, make it right in the beginning or make sure you got the basic right that is fresh ground beans and fresh roasted.

It's only messy when you have a basket prep problem. The whole point is to identify those problems so you can improve your technique. I think the Pasquini uses a standard 58mm, but I would call before buying (espresso parts, SCG, Chris', WLL to name a few). I'd probably start by finding out who carries the Pasquini, and ask them.
