After 2 months of trial and error, I think I've reached a happy place with my Gaggia Classic, my new 2 day old Precisio Grinder and my Red Bird espresso beans. I've got the grind almost where I want it at 8D (if I'm reading the dial correctly). I pulled the shots at about 27 seconds and the crema was very nice. I might tweak it a little more for a finer grind. The taste was very good. Considered roasting, but will put that off for now.
This would be followed by Klatch ( I once drove 6 hours to buy coffee and meet Heather Perry but she wasnt there) Click Here (www.klatchroasting.com) The Belle They all are excellent. El Salvador was killer.
Good old Intelligentsia I actually was in Chicago with my wife on a bus/trip for her walking down the street and she points to the wings...I was in heaven. http://www.intelligentsiacoffee.com/
Haha . .can you tell I'm a noob? Thanks for the tip . . .and any other beans you recommend would be most appreciated.
