In May 2006 the setup got moved into the laundry area of my previous apartment. I also notice that's when I converted the super jolly to doserless
Moved into a house with my (then soon to be) wife in May 2007 And of course the shrine evolved as well...this was where I got the stainless kitchen prep table
During 2008 I mostly kept that setup, but I got rid of the Mazzer Mini and purchased a Macap M7K. Early in 2009, I replaced the Super Jolly with the Mahlkoenig K30 In mid 2009 there was an opportunity for me to buy a very slightly used Mazzer Robur, which replaced the Macap M7K
And then, in the summer of 2009, I replaced the Wega with a LaMarzocco GS/3 (I changed jobs in January 2009, and had some new budget...)
Of course, in the summer of 2011 is when I got the Faema Legend and sold off the Mahlkoenig grinder
And now I also have a Vario-W and Ceado E7 as evaluation grinders (both are terrific). These swap in and out on the bar depending on what testing I'm doing....

Ok, so here is my first set of equiptment. We were on a VERY tight budget, so we went with a Delonghi ec310, modded with depressurized baskets, and a Baratza Preciso. I really like the Espro Toroid pitcher, seems to have improved my steaming significantly. I am super happy with this as of now. Still working on my technique, but making tasty drinks, at a fraction of the price that I could have spent. As I have read, I am a strong believer that your grinder should be at the top of your priorities, despite what you significant other may have to say :D I didnt have time to re-size photos, so here are a few links. Nick- Nice space you have there, I like the ambiance with the random coffee stuff on the walls and such! Wish I had that kind of room to dedicate to me obsession..err hobby...

Thanks! The house I live in is super bleak and very old, so I needed something to give it character. The amount of space is nice too, but I think my room mate disagrees :) Sad thing is, he doesn't like coffee so I can't even pull him some shots to make up for it... Oh well.
There's a big difference between drinking coffee to wake up and waking up to drink coffee.

Upgrade arrived today. I now have a triple boiler, maybe the third boiler can go...its use as a means to preheat cups is probably a bit unnecessary :)
I didn't expect such a difference from my old set-up. Going from bad drip to sivia was amazing, but my first shot on the vivaldi beat anything I've ever pulled on the silvia; even my wife enjoyed a straight shot of espresso; she couldn't drink anything stronger than a cappa on the silvia. I think the vivaldi is going to be a welcome addition to the family.
