I sent an email to Great Infusions to request to be notified when they received more ACF latte cups. I got a reply that ACF is out of business. These are my most favoritest cups I've ever used!

It seems like I read something about this but I am not able to remember where or what I read.... Look at Ancap cups they just moved into the US and I hope to get some soon.

A barista at Thinkingcup here in Boston just mentioned this the other day. He was beginning to use Nuova Point cups instead, testing them out as replacements. Sounds like bad news.

I am totally bummed my fav by far
You know those people that want to tell you how to raise your kids but have none of their own? That is how i feel when someone with a kitchen appliance tells me how the merits or dis-merits of my machine or how to use it.

ACF's were not fancy, but their classic design worked. They held the heat, had a pleasing mass, and were really, really tough. I bought 4 cappas and saucers years ago and still have all 8 pieces. With early-morning bangs and drops on the machine and even a few drops into the enameled cast iron kitchen sink, not a chip. I can't count the number of times I heard a crash in the kitchen, a loudly uttered expletive from the wife, and then, "..it was just one of the other plates," followed by my relief. I got mine at Great Infusions. When I had another trip back there a couple of years later I wanted to get some more (to save on shipping) but the PBTC was just watching the store and couldn't sell me any and I couldn't wait.. now look! :-( There's worse things in life... I know.

The thing I like the best is they are great cups WITHOUT someones branding or idea of art splashed all over them. I wont were sports jerseys with another mans name splashed on my back and certainly don't need that crap splashed all over my house wears.
The floor in my kitchen and utility/mud room is poured terrazzo, not tiled the thick concrete stuff that required steal floor joist in that part of the house when the basement was built. They are the ONLY thing that has ever survived a drop including the daily use Corel service.
I really really like the classic shape but I am thinking about purchasing what i can in the tulip shape and color based on their other merits before they are gone.
Has anyone tried the Tulip? How do the poor and stack?

All spelling mistakes aside, and in the FWIW mode, you can get Inker cups with NO logo on them . . . and, personally, I've found that -- with or without the logo -- all the working parts are the same.
