Hello everyone I wanted to tell you about my experience with Temperature and how it efected  my coffee.
I live in a very cold part of Tasmania Australia and when I pull a shot it comes out bad. I can get it to come good with difficulty.
I have moved house now to a warmer area and my shots come out awesome.

My shot this morning actually acted similar to that of pouring honey.
Colours is amazing too.

So I am reall hapy about this :))))

Over packed my portafilter and at home this would not of been a shot but here in the new house it was a beautiful shot

if you are at a lower altitude your machine is boiling water at a higher temperature, and likely you are using different water now as well, so both of those could have been factors. To a lesser extent, you may also have a slightly different voltage on your mains supply. These are probably having more of an effect than the ambient temperature.

You raise really good points but the Silva has more problems with holding it's temp and I would not be surprised if the ambient temp does affect it more than other machines.
