usually i roast 1/2 lb amounts and let them sit a bit then use them up. they stay fresh and my espresso's are always yummy. lately i bought some roasted beans from a couple roaster's for the heck of variety and was wondering do most of you vacuum seal beans for the freezer or just zip lock bag them? i don't plan on having them, in the freezer too long. what do you do for short, or long term freezer storage? thank you.

I break up into small lots and vacuum bag it with the ziploc with the pump thing. Freeze in my big freezer outside well marked and keep track of the grinder settings. I don't have to change it much because of the small lots and the short time in cold storage. And google is your friend.

+1 I freeze in batch sizes that will get used up in no more than two days so i don't have to chase the grinder much at all.
