Joao, I'd contact the company, and ask them, as they would have a list of distributors. Also, perhaps have your Chicago or NYT friends purchase for you via Amazon.com, and they'll be there waiting for you.

In New York City, you can purchase these at Sur La Table in SOHO in lower Manhattan. Sur La Table is located on Spring Street East of Broadway by about a block and a half. This is not the only location though, you can find those by using their store locator at Click Here (www.surlatable.com)
I know the Spring Street location because I've purchased them myself there before.
