Oh dear lord, there is a La Marzocco GS/3 on craigslist. I think 1k off reg price is not a great deal. If I spent 5k I would want a new one for that money. Also, I have no where near that kinda money even at half that price, but as long as it is there I am drooling on my keyboard..... Please help me.... must not stare ..... must leave computer.... Do they make AA meetings for upgradits?

Found a knock box at the thrift store last week. Not the best thrift store score I've had, but I've never seen a knock box in a thrift store before and it was a good deal.
Cleaned up, it's a lot classier on the counter than the plastic tub that my dog's jerky treats came in and it goes well with my chrome Gaggia Factory lever.

Capresso MT-500 at one of the local thrifts for $9.99. Later I found the exact same carafe for it with a Melitta machine that is supposed to froth milk too - bought it for a buck since the Melitta carafe is glass lined (my personal preference over steel).
I chew coffee beans with my teeth while gargling with 195 F water to enjoy coffee. What is this "coffee brewing" device you speak of?

As an artist I'd have to disagree with you on the aesthetic. I think it's perfect for an espresso cup and would go well with the New York times political cartoon in your morning paper. Awesome find: i have a feeling the artwork will grow on you.

My best find just died (did I say find or friend?) My Nuova Mac Cup V, saw it listed in ebay...forgot to bid, contacted seller and ended up with a machine that needed a new gasket and pressure gauge. Six years ago, I got it for $850...back in the day that machine was 3K or so. It needs another seal and I think the pressurestat is going so I've ordered my new Rocket R58. Time to shift "down" a bit in size and "up" a bit in technology. I think it'll be an even swap honestly. I found a Nuova MDX grinder from a bagel shop going out of business...$75 got that six years ago too, still running fine. I wish it fit under my counter :)
