Personally I hate african coffee--the ones i've tried were always too bitter: tho I've never ordered them from a roaster. If you're looking for a good coffee for espresso try Redbird Espresso Co--check them out online. Jeff Pentel (the roaster) marks the date on each bag so you know it's fresh--it arrives within a few days so the coffee is at perfect drinkability: and it's extremely affordable considering if you buy a 5 pounder. Plus he throws in chocolates. Enjoy your set up while you can: as these guys have already pointed out you have some more purchases to make--and as you start pulling shots you will start buying things whether you intend to or not: it's a slippery slope my friend. I too had never had an espresso: only the "espresso" offered by dunkin donuts or starbucks which tastes like sour compost juice.
