The steam wand here is just wrong. I guess one benefit to cooking eggs like this is...uh...on second thought, I don't think there are any benefits.

It is fast and you don't have to add oil or butter.

Pros: it's quick and doesn't require butter Cons: looks awful, gets eggs everywhere, and opens the door for salmonella poisoning via cappuccino

Salmonella is killed at 165 that is why you cook chicken to that temp. I believe the steam temp is a tad higher than that. You should not be poisoned by this.

I suppose that you could hard or soft boil in the shell quite effectively though I did not look at the video.
