Not to complain, of course, as this is all done with love for both the final product and the process. Every day I learn/discover more and that is definitely part of the enjoyment for me.
Fantastic! I pulled two doubles this morning and made a very large Americano (quad?). It was delicious! Not bitter at all... the flow is still a bit fast, but next time I will grind a little finer and tamp a little better. This is the best coffee I have ever tasted in my life! This was SO Rwanda roasted to FC with four days' rest... can't wait until my blends from SM get here tomorrow!
I'm still pulling shots although they are still too fast. The seller will (hopefully) be shipping the new (old) grinder tomorrow from the Chicago area and I look to get it sometime before Friday. I can't tell you how excited I am. The seller is an auctioneer and she tells me that she has no idea of the condition of the burrs, but she does know that it is in working order. Hopefully this will be my ticket to pulling 25-second doubles. I'll update you again when the grinder gets here. Thanks for asking. William

I mentioned the new grinder in another thread, but I don't think I mentioned it in this thread. I got a real good deal (I'll know for sure when it gets here.) on a used Promac MD-64 which is the same grinder as a Rancilio MD-50. It should be the last grinder I will ever need. It is a monster!
