I have been a member for a while now and havent posted a lot but read regularly.
Im a huge coffee nut (Drip / Press Pot) and I have been roasting my own beans for some time now. I am about to break into the espresso market now and as such I figured why not start with a grinder (as I can use that now) and then look for the espresso machine.
Im always a bit leary when buying online, for 2 reasons. 1) returning items can be a pain and 2) am I buying for a reputable source?
I just wanted to take a moment to write about my recent Baratza Vario grinder. I bought a refurb from iDrinkcoffee.com. You can see their ads actually on this site from time to time. I had an issue with my grinder when I got it. It worked but things just werent 100%.
I almost didnt even write them to let them know but then I thought what can it hurt.
I didnt freak out or anything, just voiced my concern and a rep named Slawek wrote me back within minutes. He applogized and let me know that he would do everything in his power to make it right and make me happy.
Here is one note sent to me from him:
"Please take the weekend to see if the grinder is of acceptable quality. If you decide to keep it I will compensate you in some way. If not I will pay shipping both ways since it was our mistake, you will not be asked to pay anything additional.
I will remain at your disposal should you need me or have any questions.
I wont take up any more of your time but I just wanted to let you know that I couldnt be happier with the way they treated me and they went above and beyond on product, shipping, everything.
Im not writting this as an add for the company as they are 1/2 across the country from myself. Im writting this so that anyone on these forums wondering what purchasing an item from iDrinkCoffee.com will be like, if its safe, if they are a good company. Rest assured.
I see numerous posts about Baratza and people saying yes .. they have issues like all products however their customer service is second to none. I just wanted to pass along another company that I can say nothing but good things about.

Thank you. I enjoy reading about vendors who provide exceptional service. Those of us live in coffee world are blessed with some truly great sellers of machines as well as coffee beans, both green and roasted. I have had wonderfully positive experiences with customer service at chriscoffee and behmor roasters when I had problems with a repair (Chriscoffee) and a roasting drum (Behmor). Anybody else want to chime in about their positive experiences with providers. Negative rants get a lot of looks and a lot of responses. Curious as to how many looks positive rants receive...

+1. It is nice to see someone put up a positive review on a coffee company.
There had been too much negative crap from flash in the pan posters, lately, if you ask me.
