Caffeinated diet Coke for breakfast and the commute in.

At work, it's water.  We have a K-cup brewer but I don't use it.  I have a Melitta cone at work and bring coffee in from home I am not a big fan of brewed coffee in general --- just seems too weak...

Diet Coke, Diet Pepsi, or Diet Dr. Pepper with lunch.

Diet Coke, Diet Pepsi, or Diet Dr. Pepper on the way home.

A double espresso about 7:30 - 8:30 pm.

Iced tea if I'm still thirsty from 9:00 to 10:00

Decaf diet Coke or diet Pepsi on my bedside stand...

On weekends, I usually have two or three double espressos per day.  I rarely make capps... I like 'em but I don't like the cleanup...

If I'm up in time (or don't have to be anywhere) to make another cup before I leave, I'll have the equivalent of a competition cappuccino, but with a double shot.
If I have to be out the door within an half hour, I'll make two, and put 'em in the same cup.  I've learned to drive very well with that method... no cup holders.

This brings me to a question I have posted elsewhere, but haven't a reply:  is the Clever Coffee maker plastic or glass?  Glass would be the bees knees!

'Tis plastic, alas.

Wow.. A lot of variety here!!

While the Clever Coffee Dripper is plastic.. It is a GREAT method of brewing coffee.  While Siphon coffee is my favorite, the CCD is, to me, equal to presspot.  Aeropress coffee is good, but its my least favorite out of everything.. But my #1 travel brewer, as it DOES brew a good cup, travels well, and makes a good conversation starter when women ask what the hell im doing :)

With all the comments about soda first thing in the morning.. I can feel comfortable admitting I also drink soda in the AM.  I get it from my mother.. that woman loves DietCoke.  While I enjoy Rootbeer, i dont enjoy many other sodas, and I really don't enjoy dietsoda.  Ive been called crazy a few times for drinking RootBeer in the morning.

Usual routine for wake up is
-glass of water
-take my medicine
-2 more glasses of water
-glass of rootbeer(oh how I love rootbeer)
-more water
..this is all in about ten minutes.
..then to the machine to bombard my body with caffeine for the rest of the day.  Im thankful it has no effect on me until I hit about a pound or coffee before the day is through(which Ive done, on occasion).. It allows me to drinks as much espresso and coffee as I want during the day, and as much as I want at night, while Im surfing the web.. Like now.. Im enjoying a cup of JBM Cultivar Kona, made in the Siphon.

I also usually have a glass of water when Im at the machine, pretty much everytime.  Mainly because, rarely am I pulling shots of only one type of coffee.. So after every shot(after Ive enjoyed the aftertaste), I sip some water.

I drink A LOT of water.  Probably about a gallon a day.

Weekdays usually start with a travel mug of drip for the commute, mostly home-roasted SO but I've occasionally used blends (sometimes even blends of home-roasted SOs, Friday will be a blend of Yemen Mokha Harasi and Sumatra Takengon Classic). I'll mix things up once in a while by filling my travel mug with 6-8 oz of milk and steaming it in the mug (heats up the stainless thermal mug quite nicely), then adding a double shot to it. Drinks during the day depend on location/availability, Coke or Arizona Iced Tea make up the bulk of it but I'll drink drip if I can get a decent cup. After dinner is usually straight shots but I'll mix things up with an occasional latte, syrups are optional. If the weather is hot I might make iced lattes. Occaionally, I'll make a big latte to take to bed with me.
Weekends can start with drip also if my wife makes the coffee but if I'm the one who is making the drinks it's more likely to be lattes or americanos. If there is any coffee during the day on weekends it could be press, pourover, shots, capps or lattes. Of course there will be shots or lattes after dinner.

One or two double straight shots, then a Latte mixed closer to a Cappa (6 shots of espresso, 10 to 12 oz milk in a 20 oz cup) then 2 L of drip through the day.
