Today on 3/2/09 I used the Ethiopia Sidamo Morodecofe beans to make press pot coffee. Beans were roasted on 12/10/08, and I put them in the freezer on 12/13/08 (wrapped inside two freezer bags). Still lots of CO2 bubbles during the 45 second bloom phase.

After the 45 second bloom phase I stir the grounds, top off with 200F water. At 3'30" I scoop off the grouds that are floating on top of the coffee, and then I press down the plunger. Nice tasting press pot coffee. I'm sure there must be some flavor loss using beans that were frozen for 2.5 months but with these beans I can't tell. This was a nice enjoyable press pot coffee.
