I just received some Vivace Dolce and Vita beans roasted on September 30. I have changed the grinder setting twice and still get too much bubbly, airy crema. It might sound a little ironic, but I have to stop the pump after 15 seconds because the shot glasses are already full.

I haven't had this issue before. Do I need to grind even finer? (I'm already on #3 on my MDF...yes yes, next step is a stepless...)

Thanks for the help!

Different beans act differently.....I would go ahead and try grinding finer and see if that helps.

Mine did the same... found out that when they arrived, I believe they had been roasted two days prior.  I just let them de-gas a bit more (several days).

Yep, it sounds "gassy" beans to me.

I'd agree with the comments above.   I guess its possible that the coffee is too fresh.......who'd of thunk it???

Same thing here...got the beans today...tried a couple of shots...took no time to fill the shot glass with crema.  Kind of stinks...have to wait a couple days to use them...I'm out of beans.  Oh well...could be worse I guess.
