I did not read many of coffee books in English, so I do not know whether I can use "category" for classification of coffee trees and beans?  And should I use "species" for the sub-classification of coffee trees and beans?

Thank you in advance.

Thank you so much.  It does help a lot.

It seems that, if I do not misunderstood, arabica and robusta are different "species", and in the sub-classification, one have different "varieties".

Yes. Scientists seem to classify coffee more precisely, but in teh world of coffee, I have alwys head of coffee divided into two "groups" as their species...

Species:

Coffea arabica - "Arabica" Coffee
Coffea canephora - "Robusta" coffee

Glad to help... I work with a company that is based in Taiwan, and I do not know a word of Chinese, so I can say that your English is excellent in comparison!  ;-)

Thanx a lot, but really my English is much worse than those people from US.

BTW, where are you from, and are you working and living in Taiwan?
