I'm traveling to Boston next week.  I've never been there.  Are there any "must try" espresso shops anyone would recommend?  What is the "Intelligentsia" of Boston?

Thanks in advance for all replies!

I live south of boston, there is a shop called Simmons on mass ave in cambridge the porter square area.

I have read alot about them here on coffeegeek.

I went there a couple weeks ago and had the best cappa i ever had.

Thanks Dango,

I did go to Simon's and loved it.  The people there were very nice and really had a passion for what they do.  The Barista is headed to Charlotte for the competition next week.

Thanks for the reply.   I really enjoyed Boston and the surrounding area.  The trip to Simon's was "Icing on the cake".

Cool great ......Glad you liked it.

I was there yesterday ....had a shot of the northern Italy made from tettoria.

It was very good.

My wife had a nice moca latte, and I also had a cappa.

MMMMM good

He's registered here, actually, but he's been sick last I heard from him, and he just found out he would be competing a few days ago (29th).

He's got a strong passion for quality coffee.  I'm glad to hear your experience lived up to my expectations.  I've never been up that way.

TASTE COFFEE HOUSE! This place came highly recommended and it didn't disappoint.  It is much better than Simon's. I've been to all the respectable places in Boston (except Sip) didn't make it there yet. But Taste Coffee House is excellent! 311 Walnut St. Newtonville, MA.

I don't know in Boston, but this kind of question pops up all the time in this and other forums. I'd suggest to everybody with someplace to propose to post it in my blog (espressoaroundtheworld.wordpress.com) so everybody can benefit form it.
Cheers!

I know I'm bringing up a zombie post here, but I bet that a lot of things have changed in the last 3 years. I'm very new to the Boston coffee scene, but barismo comes highly recommended.
