Hey Folks,
I have my favorites, but am looking to branch out. Anyone had something great recently outside of the frequently mentioned Intelligensia, redbird, etc?

...looking for inspiration here....

Break out of the box with a Bustelo made the Ken Smith way:

"ROFLMAO:  "Bustelo - or - How to Make it Yourself""

All kidding aside, try it once, made correctly, and you may find youself making one every week.  It is what the cuban vendors in the streets of Miami and around some urban areas of Texas serve in little thimble glasses to buyers.  It actually is quite good (and full of sugar).  The brew is steeped in Cuban history.

A couple of my favorites:

Caffe Ladro: Espresso Would not have recommended this a few years ago but they have improved a bit in quality.  Last time I ordered it was brighter than before, but still very nice.

Venia Coffee:   Square Peg Espresso Just got my latest shipment, full of cherry, chocolate, and really sweet.  Goes great as a sweetened cappuccino, really chocolatey.

49th Parallel (Canada): Old School Espresso Darker than I usually prefer but very satisfying.

I am LOVING Stumptown Hairbender, super caramel, very smooth. Yet stands up very well to my cappuccino.  Love it, don't love the price or how fast I go through it. A 12 oz bag has been lasting me 4 day. EeeeeeeePPPPPP oooopppppps, not my fault I love good COFFEE!

I've yet to discover anything that I enjoy as much -- both in the cup itself, and in my wallet -- as Red Bird Espresso.  That said, I've a huge fan of Verve Streetlevel, too.

The David Lynch espresso roast is surprisingly good.   Bought it at Whole Foods in LA.

Love The Excellent Cup in Milwaukee, WI---they have an espresso blend called The 86th Street Espresso blend--wonderful.  It has cocoa, nut & blueberry flavors--reasonable at $13.50 a pound, $5.95 for shipping--although I luck out cuz I can pick it up since I live in Milwaukee.   Also really live Caffé Fresco in Pennsylvania--their Ambrosia, with chocolate, nutty flavors.  Little more expensive at rounded off--$17 per pound & $5 shipping.  Highly recommend both.

Meant "love", not "live" Caffe Fresco Ambrosia.
