Reading this incredibly long thread has made me want to try. I have a crappy freezer, so freezing is not an option, but if there are any in West Los Angeles who want to sync up our bean ordering and split a 5lbs bag let me know. ;)
Just got a pound and will take a couple of weeks to go through it. Maybe next time, though, PM me. We could split a 5 lbs shipment and save on shipping, if you don't mind going through 2.5 lbs, which would take me about a month...

I would just like to add another positive comment on the customer service from Jeff. I placed an order in July for 5 lbs of Red Bird and unfortunately I received 5 lbs of the Blue Jaguar (not bad, but I prefer Red Bird). After double checking Blue Jaguar was really what I received, Jeff without hesitation sent me 5 lbs of the Red Bird. He was quick to respond to all my emails and living in Canada, Jeff has always managed to get me the coffee within 8 days post roast. I will definitely continue ordering from Jeff as his customer service is outstanding and the coffee he roasts is always excellent.
