Subject: So I want something new... Ordering from Social

Ive been drinking café grumpy's Heartbreaker, Gimme! leftist, PT's various espresso blends, and Intelli's Black Cat, for some time now. Can anybody recommend something new, preferably something I can order in 1lb bags, that sells/ships in the US? I live in NY, but I dont mind paying for expedited shipping from farther away if it's a CG recommendation.

I pull mainly for straight espresso and caps, nothing fancy.

I bought a bit of local (Coffee Labs "Doghouse blend," Tarrytown, NY) to keep me going, but I'd like something different.

Thanks!

-Edit 5/1/13-

So I have decided to order from Social Coffee &Tea Co
They have a bunch of espresso blends to select from, anyehere in particular that I should start?

Thanks guys!

You will get a good spectrum of espresso experience if you use your hot air popper a lot.   Every batch will be different, mostly good, until you get some skill in uniformity, and you will learn a lot about the balance between varietal flavor and roasted flavor.  So you know the variety is endless.
Otherwise, I like Counter Culture's Apollo but be sure to infuse it at the recommended temperature.  It seems to be sensitive to that.  Also, the espressos roasted by Greenway Coffee (they change all of the time) are great, especially the Fincas and the Daterras.  Unfortunately, some folks like meself are turned off by their selling the bags in grams, and some at 300 grams (12 oz.) at that.
Happy cupping.

I highly recommend peoples daily espresso from Social Coffee and Tea Company. I think its free shipping to the US if you spend over $35 dollars. Check their website for shipping details.

I've been on a search to try different blends for about a year now.  So far, my all time favorites are (not in any order), Barrington Gold espresso (Barrington coffee roasters in Boston), Ambrosia (Caffe Fresco in Pennsylvania)  I strictly drink caps & love how the smooth, robust flavors punch through the milk.  I don't add a lot of milk to my caps.  I can taste chocolate, caramel notes.

1) Go here and order some Pablo Apaza - Cruz Pata - Peru coffee from Portola Coffee Lab.

2) Then go here and order some Nostromo from Deep Cello via the Kojava site.

3) Try the two coffees separately, then try mixing 1 part Nostromo to 2 parts Peru.  Adjust to taste.

4) Enjoy!
