I am embarrassed, I was thinking mi not wi. You're right the only one I can think of Anodyne. In any case I believe it would be a good idea to visit your Whole Foods and see whats there. Some locations roast their beans badly some do not and you will not know until you visit, and if they roast them well then you can always find something on sale for 10-13 dollars a pound out of their bins. Plus you will get an idea of what the quality roasters are in your area, as they tend to have a good stock of fresh roasted beans from your area.

I love the Barrington Gold. Very smooth; yet nice hefty flavor with milk based drinks--cappuccinos (only espresso drink I drink). Want to try others. Can anyone tell me which they would recommend and why with these:

Hmmm . . . good question. Basically it's because that's what's available when I visit Verve in Santa Cruz, or Monkey Road in Oakland (which serves Verve). I've only had the Sermon a few times . . . I'll get a bag next time I'm in Santa Cruz, and report back.
I love Verve, but have a problem with pricing, so I (generally) only buy it from the source. Otherwise, it's too expensive.

I've been checking out the prices on all the blends I've listed & then some. Many are only 12 oz. rather than the 16 oz. Most are $15-17 for 12 oz. to 16 oz. Then add the $5-7 for shipping. Drinking my "capps" are an expensive endeavor. Crud. I don't wanna give it up though. My local place just informed me that their Costa Rican beans are held up in customs for another 4-8 weeks. That's the only blend that will work (locally) with my machines. I wonder how the beans can stay fresh if they are held up in customs for 1-2 months????? Hmmmmm So, bottom line is to get a very good blend of beans it is at least $15 to $17 for 12oz.-16oz. plus shipping. There are a few out there for $13 for 12oz. Did I say "CRUD"???

I get Red Bird Espresso for $11.99/16-ounce bag. I typically order an assortment of 5-6 pounds at a time, and shipping is a flat $10. For the ease of math, let's say five pounds, so that adds an extra $2 to the cost of the coffee. Ergo, $13.99 per pound delivered.
It's even less expensive for those who order 5-pound bags -- $51.90 including shipping ($10.38/pound delivered!)

From my research, I want to try either one via an on line order in the next day or so. Either Metropolis Redline OR Verve's Sermon. Anyone, recommend one over the other, and why?? Is either one more "forgiving" in a home machine? (I have a Gaggia Classic & a Vario grinder). Thanks.

Where are ya all this bright & sunny Sunday? Sermon espresso or Redline to try? Anyone? I know someone out there has tried both or one at least & can tell me what they think as far as flavor & forgiveness. Thank ya. Either way, I'm gonna order one of these before the day is up. Thanks!!!!!!!!!
