I'm going to seattle next week and was hoping to fine some new beans. I had heard and was going to swing by Velton's, but luckily I just read the other threat so that's out. Any thoughts on where I should go. I'll be staying in a house just north of the city. I heard about Victrola Coffee Roasters, but I'd have to hit that on my way back to SeaTac.

Seattle Coffee Works. Vivace if you make espresso. There is an absurd number of coffee roasteries in this city, and plenty are good, but those two plus Victrola are the only three I'd consistently vouch for. Maybe try Stumptown, too, they have a roastery in city here.

Yes, here are two:
Middle Fork Roasters - in south seattle. They have a website, phone number and if you're lucky enough to catch them when they're in their roasting plant and not working like crazy you might be able to drop by and pick up some coffee straight from the plant. Whole Foods and Uwajjimayah both carry their coffee. whole Foods would like have a fresher roast date.
Cafe d'Arte - their roasting plant is in south seattle, on Myrtle. Buying fresh-roasted d'arte for around $10 a pound is an amazing deal.
Don't know what's up with Velton's - haven't seen the other thread. They're a top choice and their website lists the places where their coffee is for sale.
