I have no idea if it was beginner's luck or what, but I pulled two -- not merely good, but outstanding -- ristrettos this morning of Jeff's Brazil (Daterra) Sweet Blue . . . Oh, my! The first was a proverbial god-shot . . . the second merely outstanding . . . talk about a "chocolate bomb"! WOW!

My order was roasted on Monday and arrived today. Jason, your assessment was right on the money. I pulled two shots today with a Elektra Microcasa a Leva that I recently bought (like I really need two espresso machines). The first was a double that was quite tasty. A few hours later I pulled a tight ristretto that was a rich, syrupy, sweet chocolate bomb. I have only had the Elektra for a few weeks but am quickly beginning to appreciate its ability to make first class espresso. In some ways I like it better than my mini Vivaldi II.
Jeff turns out some fine coffees, to be sure. His espresso blend is my favorite, and this is a very close second as an outstanding SO.

Same here this morning on the Duetto...a triple for a cappuccino. The Brazil Daterra was indeed a delicious chocolate bomb 90% of the way down, and it seemed to end on a slight fruity note. I'm not a big fan of SO...yet...but this was the best I've tried to date.
