Seems most beans I read about (Black Cat, etc) are only available in the US online and that typically doubles in price due to cost of shipping/duties, etc.

What are the favs for online purchasing in Canada?  Just picked up a naked portafilter for my Rancilio finally and I'm dying to try some new beans!

Thanks ...

I'm in Richmond Hill.  Where can they be locally purchased?

Thanks!

Black Cat at Manic Coffee, they used to have 49th, but no more.. I'm not up on this stuff, so please search the site here to see.

This map should help you out too, I'd call the cafes there to see if they're using 49th Parallel: Click Here (maps.google.com)

P.S.  I just spoke with Diana from Dark Horse Espresso at 3:37pm & they're using 49th.

What do they do with the beans Kaelin at Detour roasts for them? I was under the impression this was what they were using.

I've tried it.  I bought my Sylvia from The Grean Beanery and they threw in a bag of coffee with my purchase.  I thought it was good, but wasn't overwhelmed.  Keep in mind, my technique wasn't very good as I was new to the machine.  So I'm not sure if my review helps.  I'd like to give the choco espresso another shot.

Some people are like slinkies.  They're good for nothing but they will put a smile on your face when you push them down the stairs.
