This month, I've enjoyed Sundae (older bag, not as good as I'd hoped) and High Striker from Ritual.

But beating them both is the Single Origin Espresso Guatemala La Maravilla I snagged from Ecco. I've got it dialled in perfectly on my grinder right now, and it's absolutely lovely.

My top choices:
  1. Victrola Streamline Espresso
  2. Vivace Espresso Dolce
  3. Zoka Coffee Roaster's Brasil Condado Estate (Not a blend, but a great Single Origin)
  4. Black Cat Classic Espresso

Ecco Cafe-
Guatemala La Maravilla- Absolutely amazing SO espresso.  I cant get enough of it.  First ever coffee I ordered 3 times in a row.
Serra Do Bone Brazil-Another great SO
Organic Blend-Good solid blend for straight shots, and Machi's.  I feel it gets lost in anything past a Machi, YMMV.

Counter Culture-
Espresso Rustico
Espresso Aficionado

The Coffee Klatch
2008 Competition Espresso
Sweet 16 Espresso

Intelligentsia
Organic Blend
SO's have been great from them as well
Im not super crazy about BC classic, but is IS good.

This Sunday Ill be ordering coffee, probably from Supreme Bean.

If I had to pick a current favorite from that list... It would be Ecco's La Maravilla.  Without a doubt, it is amazing.

Hmmmmm...my FAV' is Len's Espresso Blends Blend #5. This does seem to be cheesy commercial thing to say since it is me that is selling it - but 'tis true. I find it to be uber-smooth and wonderfully complex without being too demanding, i.e. it is difficult to pull a bad shot with this blend.

My second choice might be something like Intelly's Kid-OÖbut I truly prefer Lenís #5.

My two standbys for the last year have been Intelligentsia's BlackCat and Bluebottle's Roman Espresso. Lately, though, I've fallen in love with a single origin Harrar from Evocation. It's so deliciously smooth and it has all of the blueberry that I wanted from the Roman Espresso. They're fairly small, but their coffee has been exceptional. evocationcoffee.blogspot.com .

Being new to espresso making I have gone through quite a few blend recommendations from this forum.  Coffee Culture Aficionado was a hit initially but the depth of flavor was short.  Might have been my technique!  Next I tried Black Cat and on a 10 scale it was about a 5...nothing special.  Again, perhaps it was me because it always is at the top of everyone's list.  Then I found Redline and it's a keeper.  My wife is actually much harder to please than I and she is loving Redline.  I also like their size options; pound, 2 pound or 5 pound and their shipping rates are fair and reasonable.

I, too, find this to be the case with CC Aficionado.

Again, I totally agree with this...though, at times BC has been real nice.

Again, of the coffees you mention, Redline is, IM(no)HO, the best.

Terrior's Calabria roast is outstanding...also Paradise's Nuevo,  Bonsai from Velton's  is also pretty good.  This last one really deepens over time (days 7+ post roast are much better than earlier.  But overall I keep ordering the Calabria roast...simply outstanding, especially in a capp's.
