All "free" shipments were made by US Postal Service Priority Mail.

As far as using the beans for drip or other uses, I do not know as I (& my wife) easily go through our 2 pounds every week all consumed as espresso (including espresso contained in machiatto and cappucino). If we have guests or our kids over, then some will be imbibed as latte, as well.

I usually find that most coffee beans are best used within 2 weeks of roast...usually 10 days. Since the beans should de-gas after roasting for 36 to 72 hours, the transit time becomes de-gas time.  Remember, Len's Espresso Blends SHIPS THE DAY THE BEANS ARE ROASTED!

Len,
Just received the knock at the door from the postman with the bean.  Very excited!  My wife says she will skip giving me gifts of anything other than coffee.

I will let them rest 'til tomorrow and start working...err, consuming.

Thanks!
Darren

I received the beans today. Only three days after roast! Many thanks Len. "Free" shipment to California is $10.35. Ouch.

Len, what espresso machine and grinder were used to develop these blends? I couldn't find that information.

Gary,

The "Free" designation is because it was FREE to the recipients...Len's Espresso Blends paid the shipping costs as well as the bean costs as well as the packing costs (US postal service boxes are "free" to me; the brown cardboard boxes cost me $1 each), etc., etc. This is all the cost of "doing business" and I hope to glean some good reviews for my modest expenditure.

Please note that I do not fear what will be said in this or any other public forum as I am pretty confident that you and others will appreciate these beans.

As far as what espresso machine and grinder were used...hmmmm...maybe I'll save that for a later post.

Hey Len,

I just wanted to report in that I received the beans!  I've only dug into No.5 and can already say that these are some seriously good beans.  I'm shooting to send you a review by the 17th or 18th at the latest (I've got a project due on the 15th).

Thanks again,
-p

Len curious if my email with my shipping info has gone through (I sent it  6/29).  Let me know if I should be awaiting samples or if I've missed out.  Thanks again, I'm glad you're getting such good reports from others.
