I am hoping someone can help me out. I live in Danville, CA, and there are no good beans to be purchased retail in the area (that I am aware of, of course). So, I buy online - usually from Barefoot Coffee in Santa Clara, which I am very happy with.
The problem is, I am just not that organized, and I keep running out of beans. Which means I need to live through a pound or two of Peet's Major Dickasons that my wife picks up at the supermarket, before my next shipment comes. Not the end of the world, I know, but...
What I would like is to find someplace where I can place a "subscription" type order - like, say, a pound of beans per week until I say "stop". But I can't find anyone who sells like this - only single orders. Does anyone know of anyplace that supports this type of order (AND has nice espresso that is strong on the choclatey/caramelly notes)?
There are definitely more, but I quickly thought of this one and happened to have the link saved. More people will jump in with suggestions I'm sure. They have a roaster in Silver Lake so shipping should stay low for you.

I'm sure Barefoot would do it for you. Just ask them. And Ecco Caffe in Santa Rosa does it too. http://www.eccocaffe.com/
I don't think Ecco Caffe officially has an endless subscription on their website, but I just told them to keep sending one a week and they continued for a couple years sending me coffee once a week and it came like clockwork. They roasted on Monday and it almost always arrived in San Jose by Tuesday or Wednesday. Sometimes Thursday, but since it's nice to have the coffee rest until Friday, It worked out perfectly. Recently, I arranged a combination Experimental Deluxe and 1 coffee a week for all other weeks of the year. And I arranged to pay quarterly installments instead of all up front. Even received a modest discount on the deal. So I would say talk with your favorite roaster and arrange something that works out for you. Don't depend on what you see on a web interface.
My friend used them for quite a while until she started roasting her own. I have had their Code Brown which is superb, but the Costa Rican Tarrazu (Dota) is the best Costa Rican coffee I've ever had from anyone. It makes a great espresso. It won't be a waste of your time to look around their site. Hope you find a good coffee service!
Thanks to everyone for all your help! Lots of possibilities here. Now comes the fun part... try a bunch and see what I like the best! The perfect way to spend my summer...
