Terrior's Calabria roast is outstanding...also Paradise's Nuevo, Bonsai from Velton's is also pretty good. This last one really deepens over time (days 7+ post roast are much better than earlier. But overall I keep ordering the Calabria roast...simply outstanding, especially in a capp's.
I went to the Terroir website....several of their roasts sound extremely interesting. Have you tried any of the others, or only the Calabria? The North Italian Style sounded good for cappos, also there's a South Italian style on sale this month, must be new, but it also sounded good and the rating was interesting.
"In honor of Heather Perry, the Master of Ceremonies at 2009 Midwest Barista Competition, Coffee Klatch would like to applaud the BEST EXPRESSO in the WORLD, our own WBC Championship Blend. Best Espresso over 45 countries competing.
After months of shooting shots, substituting beans, tweaking roasts and blend percentages, Coffee Klatch has an espresso you can fall head over heels for. It features three beans: Brazil Yellow Bourbon, Sumatra Lake Tawar, and an Ethiopian Natural, each roasted separately then blended together for peak flavor.
The crema from two naturals and a semi washed is thick and reddish brown. When ran at 25 to 28 seconds, your first taste is chocolate and citrus with orange being the prominent citrus. Your second and final sip will turn syrupy sweet with wine like berry and spice adding to the mix. Strong enough to cut through the milk but so delicious you'll want to drink shot after shot of straight espresso.
Don't forget to order your own world's finest espresso TODAY!"
The coffee I most recently had that could be deemed a favorite was:
Ecco Cafe: La Maravilla
And
Ecco Cafe: Serra Do Bone
Currently Ive got:
Caffe Fresco: Ambrosia Bello PNG
And by the description, I should be loving the Bello and PNG, but Im having a hell of a time getting good shots with them. Its annoying me very much. Good yes, but not great or spectacular.
But next week ill be ordering from Ritual or Stumptown, and some of their SOs sound delish enough to maybe even knock the Maravilla out of my favorite espresso spot.

I have been through the coffees in the past couple of months and my faves in order are Vivace Dolce, Millers Palermo, Black Cat, Redline, CC Aficionado. I tried Meritage and Ambrosia but neither did anything for me. Initially Redline was at the top of the list but I thought the flavors didn't linger long enough. Dropped pretty fast. Dolce improved dramatically a couple of weeks after roasting.
I am expecting an order from Klatch; Amaro Gayo, WBC and Ipanema Dulce....don't know what to expect.
Latley I have really enjoyed selections from Ecco Caffe (everything, seriously). We also had a recent batch of CounterCulture Tuscano that was wonderful

Yes, tried both N and S Italian....N was too light for my tastes, S was good, but had an off taste to me. Calabria was just right...in fact it is still my fav. It is their darkest roast, full Braz. excellent in milk. Guy from Am. Test Kitchen had it on his xmas list.
