What are YOUR current favorite espresso blendz? Lately I've been trying a few pro-roasted coffees and now I have my favorites.... Every one below makes amazing coffee for me, and all of the people are amazing as well It's a pleasure and a privaledge for me to know people from each of these roasters.
OK, here they are (in no particular order), some of my personal choices.
I like redline myself, I also think their website has to be the best looking website out of all the coffee websites I have been too
It has been awhile since I ordered roasted coffee, I have been doing a lot of home roasting especially with all the warm weather we have been getting this winter in New York
I have also been doing a lot of single origin shots
El Salvador "Miel"- now this has to be the most underrated single origin espresso of all time it is completely outstanding and works very well with just about every brewing method I threw at it.
Jon you really have to try this I truely believe you will fall in love with this bean, Every one I know who tries this falls in love with this one including Tom at Sweet Marias
All mentioned do good work; however, one might try http://www.eccocaffe.com/ and http://www.rileys-coffee.com/ where I do like their Decatur Street Blend. You may prefer their other espresso offerings, but I think Barry does a good job with DSB. Ecco's offering, to me, is a wonderful light roast.
And, there is Flying Goat, Paradise, and a host of others--all who do a heck of a lot better job than I could ever hope to do.
Barefoot Coffee Roasters: Element 114 - nice top to bottom range.
Caffe Fresco: Ambrosia - hits the middle range dead on. Papua New Guinea - a surprise in the Pavoni lever (not a blend - SO). Brown Brindle Papua New Guinea - a blend of roasts, not beans. Mostly for my super-auto.
Two, Ambrosia from Caffee Fresco and Redline from Metropolis. Ironic that both places are owned by a Tony, they are equally great guys. Just ordered more Ambrosia.
