Since it hasn't been mentioned here and has always been controversial ( a love it or hate it blend), I must admit that my benchmark fav has been and continues to be Josuma's Malabar Gold. I've tried many of the others mentioned here (and even retried some several times over the years) such as Black Cat, Kid O, Code Brown, etc. but nothing seems to float my boat like the Malabar.

yes, please update! Specifically, can someone tell me, other than Black Cat, what's the best rich, dark, chocolaty espresso blend? (not fruity, light, or anything like that.)
I really like our European Roast Espresso blend from Fieldheads Coffee. It is smooth, not bitter, dark, heavy, has chocolate notes, and shows well through milk.
