china barista championship 2009 March 31 - April 3, 2009 Shanghai New International Expo Center Shanghai, China the China barista championship 2009 (cbc 2009) was staged in conjunction with the 18th edition of Hotelex Shanghai at the Shanghai International Expo Center. In its 7th year, the CBC 2009 attracted 21 baristas, three from each of seven provinces: Shanghai, Ningbo, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Beijing, and Yingkou. The baristas had to rank among the top three in their regional qualifying competitions, so making it to the CBC was a victory in itself. Beacause the CBC is the official WBC qualifying competition in China, the winner, Zhou Yungui, is set to go to the WBC 2010 in London next year.
