The CNBC regional for Western Canada is set to go tomorrow at Heritage Hall, on Main Street at the corner of 17th (I think); today, the Vancouver Sun had a surprisingly good preview of the event:
I don't know how long that link will be active, but definitely check it out. Canton did some good background research for this article (though Sammy is a 3 time finalist at the WBC, finishing 2nd, 3rd, and 2nd).

The 2009 Canadian Western Regional Comp is being geared up for August 29 and 30 in Victoria BC Canada at the Leonardo Davinci Centre and is being hosted by Reg Barber....All kinds of great things are happening..The parties are sounding rediculously awesome...camping at a barn in sooke was mentioned and a goat milking latte art smack down??..but they need volunteers!
