I had recently purchased a Bunn commercial brewer, and I'm hoping that I'm making the coffee correctly as I haven't really used it much, only with some old coffee. You're supposed to pour in 64 oz of water, and they included a pitcher for it but the amount of water I'm getting in the pitcher comes out to be more then 64 oz when poured into another pitcher on my scale. Would it be better to weigh the water on a scale and pour it in?

Yes. Weigh the water, and the coffee, and it will be much easier to detrmine the correct ratio.

Also note that a specific volume of water at different weighs different amounts. That is, fill it to the line with cold water and weigh it. Fill it to the line with hot water and weigh that. They will not weigh the same. So it's just safer - and more exact - to weigh the water.

I figured so. I make sure the scale is accurate with all my weight types....Meaning I weigh in ounces and then check the pounds and grams to be sure they're right. I ALWAYS make sure everything is correct.
