Just a quick question about my Baratza encore...I've heard all kinds of people talk about their settings being a number that technically isn't a setting on a Baratza Encore such as "23". As the encore settings go by 2's. So my questions is can I set my grind in between the regular settings on my grinder? Like instead of grinding on 22, I would set it in between 22 and 24, is that okay to do? Does it really change much in the grind? I've tried it once in a test and the grinder still works properly...Not a surprise. Reason I'm asking is because I wanna grind on 23 for french press as I found this to be the closest in comparison to "9" on a Ditting swiss commercial grinder.

I really can't see how it would hurt anything, the stops on the ring are there only to prevent it from moving while grinding and sort of returning to the same place or grind setting. The ring may not stay where you put it without holding though so just be ready for that.
