When you first use your Brikka, don't drink the first 3 or 4 brews, or it will have an overwhelming metallic taste. After that, it will be seasoned and ready to go. Please report back with your results. Would be good to see how things go for a fellow Brikka user.

Any ideas about grind settings? I don't see a particular difference when using beans grinded for espresso or what they say you should use (coarser). I have a 12 cup Bialetti, nice and big but quite sensitive to the water level, off 1mm and the brew won't be the same. Just a tiny bit less water will give quite less coffee for example.
And yeah, a really good advice you have there, do stand and look at it for the necessary 5 minutes or you'll burn it sooner or later and it is really hard to remove that ugly taste...
edit: If you want to share the coffee (and not drink it all by yourself) you need to mix it a bit. I do it with a small coffee spoon directly in the moka pot.
