Subject: First time brewing w/ AeroPress: tips, tricks and recommended recipes?

Hey guys,

So I'm going to be using my AeroPress for the first time soon and was looking for general tips before starting and some recommended/favorite brewing methods.

How many coffee grounds? How hot should the water be? How long do you guys like to steep for? How many stirs? Which method to you prefer (i.e. regular, inversion, etc.)? I also have a Hario Mini-Mill, what coarseness of grind works best for the AeroPress?

Obviously I'm going to figure out what I like most as I go along and experiment but I was hoping you guys could give me a good starting recipe. A good "base" to start from. Something that I can tinker with to customize to my liking. And any tips/tricks to make my first time easier would be greatly appreciated too!

Thanks!

LOL, like he said, the field is wide open.
All I can say is that for me, I use one scoop of whole beans (the scoop comes with the machine) ground to drip grind. Inverted AP and water somewhere around 190 to 195 give or take. Stir for about 5 seconds, cap, turn AP over and place on cup then take about 20 seconds to press from the circle 4 on the AP into a 16 oz mug, thin with the remainder of the water in the electric kettle. I do this every day and it works for me!
