I am trying to locate a coffee maker that the water temp can be adjusted. It seems that every coffee maker I get the coffee is too hot (200ºF+) or just warm. I have a cuisinart an the water temp is 151º F. Like my coffee about 180ºF. Is their such an animal?

Just so you know it is a commonly held belief/opinion/call it what you will in the coffee world that coffee should be brewed between 195-205 Deg. F. to bring out the best flavors. When brewed at this temp. it is granted to hot to drink, just a matter of letting it cool a bit. It is interesting to note the different flavors that come out as it cools. I find good coffees are still good even after a few hours setting on the counter at room temp. Letting it sit on a burner and cook is a different story- something that you don't want to do, it will do horrible things to the flavor in a short time. Not trying to tell you what you should like- each to his own, just thought I'd throw this out there for you. Ron

The temperature of hot water for brewing coffee should be right for the brewed tastes of coffee, not for the feel of mouth when drinking. If the coffee is right brewed, the coffee will be still too hot to drink. But u can always wait, or put some cold milk to reduce the temperature of coffee for drink.
