I've used Cleancaf OK in both my espresso machine (La Pavoni Si) and in my automatic drip machine. But I have a bottle of Cafiza and was wondering if OK for either of these machine types. My espresso is a pump with the pressurized portafilter so not for back flushing. thanks for any suggestions or advice

Not recommended for a drip coffee maker. It's designed to remove coffee oils etc. inside an espresso machine by back-flushing. In a drip coffee maker there shouldn't be any except perhaps at the point where the water drips. It isn't a descaler. Stick to cleancaf or similar for the drip machine.
Cafiza is for professional type espresso machines, and without a backflush option it can't really do much. You could use it on any parts of the brewgroup you can dismantle though (leave them to soak) provided they aren't aluminium. It reacts badly with aluminium.

Although Cafiza makes a fine cleaner for your drip carafes, I wouldn't ever use it in the water path of a drip machine. Wouldn't make sense, anyway, since the only theoretical accumulation in the brew path of a drip is mineral scale, so you wouldn't need a detergent, only some mild citric acid.
But as a cleaner of coffee containers? I picked up a restaurant quality 2.5L pump pot for 3 bucks at a restaurant/hotel surplus shop that was a deep, rich brown on the stainless interior from coffee oil buildup. Tossed in half a tablespoon of Cafiza and a pot full of boiling water, let it soak for a couple of hours, rinsed thoroughly, and it looked like new.

For cleaning the brew path of a drip machine, you can buy this at nearly every supermarket and it is designed for just that job. Click Here (www.drugstore.com)
