Just wondering - with the high price of this particular varietal, is anyone aware of potential counterfeiting?
I mean, I assume we can probably trust Tom at SM - if he's selling a lb. of Geisha then it's highly likely to be Geisha - but what about other sources? Other than reputation and personal traceability - how am I to know for SURE that the $10 cup of Don Pachi Geisha that I bought at Klatch is actually Geisha?
If it can happen with K0&! L0W@&... I'm just sayin'...

If it comes from a known, trustworthy source such as Klatch, Intelly, Barefoot, Kean etc....... I would not worry too much. For example Mike at Klatch spends a good part of the year out finding sources for the coffee he sells and he has a solid rep to uphold, If on the other hand you get a spam email touting a deep discount if you also buy a pound of K. L. along with a special lot of Kona .... I would be a little cautious. Just saying :D
