While I am partial to the coffees we roast at Deep Cello, there are other, excellent coffees available here as well. One is Water Avenue, another is BadBeards. And don't forget about Spella Caffe, which the Wall Street Journal said made the best latte in Portland (and that's a place with a lot of lattes).
Spella did not impress me at all. And is not a place I would go back to. After visiting Portland and having coffee in about 8 different places (didn't get to Water), for customer service, it was the Stumptown in the is it Ace Hotel downtown. For good coffee it was Ristretto up in the schoolhouse.
I love going to different places and finding as many new coffee types as I can find. Portland was fab for that.
It seems they roast coffee twice a month (for subscriptions) and whatever is left, they sell.....and of course, it sells quickly within a matter of a week I noticed. So, in order to get the best of their service (and it IS great!) you need to get a subscription. I am very happy with mine.....not a bad bag yet! All roasted perfectly and shipped to me quickly.
If you want to buy their FRESH ROASTED COFFEE, check under subscriptions and see when they are shipping.....then, the NEXT DAY, order one of the 2 coffees offered.
