I need to get a regular auto drip coffee maker for my house because every one does not drink espresso .......could you make some recommendations' , yes I know Technovorm but I did not want to spend three hundred ....
Bonvita makes a much less expensive version of the shower head type coffee maker. They run about 130 for glass and 150 for metal caraffe. I bought my daughter and her beau one for Christmas for the reason you said and because sometimes you need a pot of coffee and not the time to hand pour for multiple people. They love it. He even called up the company to discuss some of the features it has and was very impressed with their customer service.
Just get the drip drinkers to drink Americanos, no new brewer need. Short of that, Bunn makes a very good home machine that has proper brew time and temps.
In real life, my name is Wayne P.
Feed the newbs, starve the trolls and above all enjoy what you drink!

This one gets my vote too. Apparently the website gizmodo prefers the vapor ware (out of stock even on Bodum's web site) $250 Bodum Bistro Pourover Machine in what reads like the strangest review in the world to me:
"Mike and I liked the Bonavita's coffee best, at first. The flavors were cleaner, thanks to the Melitta paper filter, and the coffee came out hotter, indicating a higher brewer temperature. (Hotter water = more extraction, though anything above 205 is no bueno.) Gimme's baristas, blind tasting, immediately picked up notes of wood from the paper filter, though.
After the coffee cooled slightly, it was definitely sharper and more acidic, and not in the best way. That might be because of the shorter brew time, which averaged around 3:09. Or because its cross-shaped showerhead less evenly disperses water over the coffee bed, which looked slightly different every time—a less positive sign, because it indicates the possibility of less even extractions."
Makes you wonder why they didn't try another filter (bamboo? Gold tone?) or adjust the grind to test their theories about taste. Curious too is the time the Bodum takes to produce a full 40 fl oz pot - 500 mL in the Bodum took a respectable 3:30, so why not test a full pot then? Seems more like they have discovered the difference between paper vs metal filters more than which coffee maker is "best".
I chew coffee beans with my teeth while gargling with 195 F water to enjoy coffee. What is this "coffee brewing" device you speak of?
Update.... I have the Bonavita for about a week and I am pleasantly surprised ....Bonavita maker takes care of its end of the process with almost perfection ...so from what I see so far is buy good beans because that will be the only weak link . Also this unit is 8 cups .... got used to this instantly , like it much better than 10 cup makers I believe they use 8 so that the water only stays in contact with the coffee for a shorter amount of time so that bitterness and undesirable compounds are not extracted ....just my guess .Thanks for the great tip ********
