Subject: calculator: How long will my coffee last?

Hi - i made a calculator which works out how long a supply of coffee will last.  This started out as a Excel file, but turned into a bit of a joke at work so i made it into a website. I thought i'd post it here as maybe it'll be useful, or fun to have a look at.

How long will my coffee last?

Thanks - My coffee will last me a week.

Tweaks I would like to see:

Grams instead of (or as an option to) scoops.

More options on the volume slider - here in the US common bag weights are 340g (12 oz) and 456g (16 oz).

- Eric

I chew coffee beans with my teeth while gargling with 195 F water to enjoy coffee. What is this "coffee brewing" device you speak of?

thanks Eric,
i'll have a look at that tonight. i've also had a suggestion of adding a cost slider where you can select how much the coffee will cost, then i can work out a cost per cup.

I hadn't considered oz, we're using grams here in the uk - i'll have a think about how i can add oz and grams.

James :)

If you can't add ounces right away then just a couple extra stops on the line would work.  I think it jumps from 275g to 500g so it skips 340g and 456g which are the common sizes.  I suggested grams instead of spoon scoop measures because most of us geeks over here are measuring out coffee out in grams too.

question, for this calculator, can you specify how many ounces/ml is a cup of coffee? Does it even matter?

Thanks
John

I like this scale - it is very easy to dial in the weight purchased, grams per cup, and how long my coffee will last. Nice work!
